Starting from Plein Air

This is a new process I'm experimenting with; I started Plein Air with an under-painting in Grisaille and later built up glazes alternating between warm and cool colors. This painting started from an overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Boone, NC; it was challenging to paint quickly because I had about 10-20 minute breaks between the showers.
